Huey Shin Choo, Program Assistant – Asia-Pacific

Huey Shin is the Program Assistant for WITNESS’ Asia-Pacific regional team based in Malaysia. She ensures smooth functioning of administrative systems within the region that includes program planning and implementation, human resources management, and monitoring and evaluation of programs.

Before joining WITNESS, she was the Program Manager for Freedom Film Network. There, she worked on their five-year project, Social Films for Social Change, where she managed the annual international film festival FreedomFilmFest, started the first social film archive in Malaysia, Arkib Filem Rakyat, and coordinated their civil society support in using social films.
